Meet Your Trainers

Gene Fetty

Trainer

Gene started his PDR career in 2002, he spent his early years perfecting his craft at dealerships and body shops. In 2011 Gene Started chasing after the retail PDR market after discovering how he was able to get leads by using google adwords. With a renewed fire for PDR and a new found love in sales and marketing Gene became more and more active inside of the PDR community.  Gene was one of the founding members of PDR Nation (a trade association for the PDR Industry) he served as a board member, then secretary, and finally as Chairman for the organization. This opportunity pulled Gene out of his shell and got him on the stage trying to help technicians and the PDR industry. This lead to him being an instructor for Dent Trainer, and a speaker at MTE for NAPDRT. When the PDR College Podcast (PDRC) came out, like for so many others  another even stronger fire was lit for Gene. Every Monday morning PDRC was how Gene would start his week.  When PDRC Host Keith Cosentino offered up business coaching services Gene was quick to get in on that program. That coaching was yet another pivotal moment in Gene’s career that ignited another fire, his business was transformed.  Fast forward to the second Advanced Skills Seminar and while sitting at a table with Keith and Shane, Gene’s podcast “The PDR Marketing Minute” was born. The show started as a segment on the PDRC show and then as a stand alone show.  When Advanced Skills 3 Rolled around, Gene wasn’t just an attendee he was on the stage teaching his marketing techniques.  This led to Gene Teaching Sales and Marketing all over the US and Canada. Gene has been teaching and consulting with PDR businesses since 2016.  In 2019 Gene joined Team KECO to help revolutionize Glue Pull Repair, as a master technician and trainer.  Since joining the ream Gene has personally taught over 1,000 technicians.

As you may have already noticed there are numerous pivotal moments in Gene’s career that have helped him grow both personally and professionally.  Investing in yourself, and following the opportunities that present themselves are the key to a successful and rewarding career.  Gene’s journey has taken him from a technician chasing his craft of PDR  to a business owner learning the craft of building and growing a business to becoming a teacher and mentor to help other technicians and business owners grow in much the same way.

Zan Vidic

Trainer

  • Zan hails from Slovenia and started his self taught career in PDR in 2008, in 2010 Zan decided to open his own PDR company. From 2008-2016 you could call Zan your “typical dent guy”, chasing storms and doing mobile repairs all the while thinking he was a pretty good dent guy. In early 2016 Zan thought he would show everyone just how awesome he was at dents. He went to the dent competition in Germany, and guess what………..He didn’t even place. This marked a pivotal point in Zan’s career, he began listening to some PDR related podcasts, business and self improvement books and he decided it was time for a change. Zan made the decision to invest in himself, his craft, and his business.   It was no longer “good enough is good enough” it was time to upgrade his mind, his tools and lights, and with that decision and dedication it was time for him to see what he was truly capable of.  It’s now 2017 and competition is real, Zan wins the TDN award for the best repair of the year and then takes 6th and 4th in the European Dent Competition. By the end of 2018 Zan had his first victory at the PDR World Cup. In 2019 he had 4 competitions:
  • IASRE 6th
  • MTE Vegas 2nd
  • PDR World Cup 1st
  • IASRE Japan 2nd

2020 Started Zan’s undefeated streak!

  • MTE Dent Olympics 1st
  • MTE Tag Team 1st

2022 Events

  • MTE Dent Olympics 1st
  • MTE Tag Team 1st
  • Southern Dent Trials 1st

You Can see that in just a few short years with some discipline, focus, and investing in himself that incredible things are possible.

Think where you could  be if you’d make an investment in yourself.
